Bromsgrove School in England was established in 1553 and is a top co-educational day and boarding school in the British Midlands. We are the only school outside England that carries the prestigious Bromsgrove name.
Bromsgrove Thailand is also affiliated with Daewon Foreign Language High School in Korea, which is ranked 13th amongst top high schools in the world that have the highest success rate in gaining entry to top Universities in the world. This affiliation allows us to have a successful blend between the east and the west.
Other memberships include Education Development Trust (EDT), Council of International Schools, International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT). Boarding Schools Association (BSA), Thailand International Schools Activities Conference (TISAC) and International Award for Young Learners. The school is an accredited Examination Centre by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), Edexel and AQA.
Two purpose-built campuses
Bromsgrove is unique in its picturesque Thai setting offering two specialist campuses on the outskirts of Bangkok, both in close proximity to Suvarnabhumi International Airport:
The Early Years Campus for children aged from 2 to 6 years, situated on the very accessible Ramkamhaeng 164 Road;
The Windsor Park Campus for children aged from 6 to 18 years, situated in its own landscaped grounds, and adjacent to a 36 hole golf course, making us ‘home’ to some world-class junior golfers!
Following the best of British traditions, we offer an appropriate and challenging programme of study, based upon the National Curriculum for England, whilst incorporating the flexibility to effectively respond to global change. Our students ultimately take IGCSE, AS, A level examinations, and we also offer the BTEC qualification. These options open doors to universities worldwide.
House System, After-school activities and Pastoral Care
The robust academic programme is supported by a strong pastoral system, which nurtures and enables each student to achieve their maximum potential. In addition to the wide range of after-school activities, our House system encourages healthy competition between students at all levels.
Partnership between parents and school
Bromsgrove is a school where internationally-minded and culturally aware students are encouraged to pursue both academic excellence and personal development, thus enabling them to take a leading role in tomorrow’s ever-changing global community: Through the partnership of child, parent and school we can and will make a real difference.
Teacher selection and qualifications
At Bromsgrove, all our teachers are appropriately qualified with a degree and teaching qualification. Our teachers are mostly recruited from the UK with some from other native-English speaking countries like Australia, USA and Canada. We also have specialist teachers teaching Thai, Chinese and Korean all highly qualified to deliver the best education and opportunities to our students.
International Students and Class sizes
Our students consist of over 27 nationalities; 50% of which come from other countries in the region and the world. Class sizes are small and range from a maximum class size of 12 for our youngest learners up to 24 for our oldest students

Students also have a weekly BEAM (Building Effective Attitudes and Mindsets) and PE lesson.
Curriculum – Years 12-13
The courses offered to our Key Stage 5 (Sixth Form) students are: English Literature, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, Drama, Music, Music Technology, Digital Media, Computer Science, Geography, History, Politics, Economics, Theatre Studies and Chinese. Students also have a weekly BEAM and PE lesson.
We also offer an alternative Diploma Sixth Form pathway, enabling students to access work-related qualifications that allow entry to Higher Education Institutions both in Thailand and overseas. The subjects covered in the Diploma are: Travel and Tourism, Business, and Sport.
Academic Life in the Sixth Form
Year 12 students normally select 4 subjects. These could be A Level subjects, BTEC courses, or a mixture of both. Each subject is formally taught for 5 hours a week by specialist teachers in specialist facilities. There is an expectation that students spend a good deal of their independent study time revising notes and consolidating class work as well as engaging in independent home learning tasks.
At Bromsgrove International School Bangkok Thailand, our boarding programme offers our students more than just a place to live while they are away from home; it gives them the opportunity to thrive in their work and also in their friendships. The most important aspect of our boarding programme is the care a support given to your child. We ensure that each student that boards at Bromsgrove is given the opportunity to work to the best of their ability by offering them further support, encouragement and individual care outside of school hours.
Flexi Boarding provides opportunities for last minute and one off stays in Boarding. Many parents use this option throughout the term for last minute business trips, family emergencies or for their child to experience life in Boarding before moving to a weekly or full boarder. Other students chose to stay for school events and competitions, especially at weekends.
As part of our flexi boarding, we also offer students the chance to stay after school and take part in the Enrichment and Academic programme between 15:30 and 18:00 every Monday to Thursday, with dinner provided.
Throughout the term there will be other opportunities where day students are invited to stay in Boarding from different events throughout the year or as part of our weekend trips.
Weekly Boarding at Bromsgrove International School Bangkok is described as “the best of both worlds”. Our five day school week offers our students the opportunity to spend time in the week focusing and working towards success so that on a Friday afternoon, when they return home, they can spend quality time with their families. The advantage that this will give your child is that they will mature with the independence and confidence which boarding will give them and you, as the parents are able to watch them grow into young adults. Weekly boarding cuts out the daily travel to and from the school allowing the students to have more time to learn and relax during the week rather than sitting in Bangkok traffic for up to 20 hours per week.
Over half of the Boarding community at BIST are full boarders, who have moved to BIST from places all over the world including the UK, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Russia, South America, Europe and Koh Samui. For Full Boarders, Boarding at BIST really is their home and it provides them with opportunities to develop independence and rest and relax with their friends, whilst also taking part in weekly trips around Bangkok.
